Calm before the storm
After hearing Tim Duncan’s comment slash subtle guarantee about winning the NBA title this year, LeBron James responded, although in a more diplomatic, non-combative way: “They don’t like us, they don’t. I can sense it from Timmy’s comments over the last couple of days. They wanted this, they wanted us and we’ll be ready for the challenge.” C’mon, ‘Bron, you can do better than that!
Future teammates?
Here’s a photo of Kevin Love and Rajon Rondo at the Fenway Park for a Boston Red Sox game. Did Rondo invite him to watch? Is he luring K-Love to Beantown? Are they shaking on a bet on who wins the NBA Finals?
Preach, brothas!
Based on a TMZ report (not the most credible, we know, but still), banished Clippers owner and Public Enemy No. 1 of African-Americans, Donald Sterling went to a Black church in L.A. apparently to seek forgiveness. We’re hoping this isn’t just a desperate publicity stunt.
Traded na naman?
Yousef Taha is switching teams—again. The San Miguel big man got shipped to San Mig Coffee in exchange for Yancy de Ocampo. The Mixers are now the fifth team of the energetic Fil-Kuwaiti since being drafted 11th overall by Air 21 last year. He has also suited up for Brgy. Ginebra, GlobalPort, and Petron/San Miguel. Talk about being wanted. At least, he now has half of the jerseys of the 10 PBA teams.
Did someone get the number on that truck?
Who said the WNBA is soft? Well, yeah, it still is generally. But once in a while, something like this happens. Seattle Storm’s Crystal Langhorne knocks down an unsuspecting Skylar Diggins of Tulsa Shock with a vicious, granite-like screen. Somewhere out there, Beau Belga has a grin on his face and a quarter-pounder on his hand.
