It’s no secret that the Philippines is a basketball-loving country. And as strong winds and rain brought by typhoon Glenda battered Luzon on Wednesday, Filipinos proved why.

Picture this: A TV reporter in full battle gear, risking life and limb, documenting the power of the strongest typhoon to hit the country this year. Behind him, a local boy from the province of Bataan is in tank top and shorts, drenched in rain and not holding an umbrella or anything resembling a tool of disaster preparedness.

What he’s holding is a basketball. Basketball never stops, indeed.
