Anthony Semerad eyes the pros

August 22, 2014
One half of San Beda’s Semerad twins showed what he can do on both ends of the floor at the 2014 PBA Draft Combine scrimmage, which featured the country’s top rookie prospects.

“I just wanted to go hard, show what I had in that timeframe and just try to impress the coaches,” Anthony Semerad told BuhayBasket.

The 6-foot-5 sharp shooter, who is no stranger to pressure-packed games, believes his all-around game will boost the chances of any team that picks him in the upcoming PBA Draft.

“I’ll just be happy to go with any team, I reckon I can help any team with my game,” he said.

The Fil-Czech Semerad twins are on track to be the Younghusbands of Philippine basketball–TV guestings and all–and making it to the PBA is naturally the next step.

But while some see being added to a PBA roster as the end-all, be-all, Semerad is looking beyond just hearing his name called out on draft day.

“I’m going to stay positive and keep working hard. It doesn’t stop there once you make it to the pros, just keep working hard,” he said.
