A Toronto Raptors expansion era cap, a Penny Hardaway jersey, and an Allen Iverson figurine. These are just some of the things you will find at the newly-opened NBA Store in Trinoma.
Another NBA Store officially opened in the Philippines last week, the third store in three years, which veteran sports analyst Mico Halili believes is a sign that the country is now a part of the global conversation, and part of the global community that is the NBA.
“This connects us completely with every other city and country that loves the NBA. We should be proud that we are a destination for all things NBA,” he told BuhayBasket.
NBA Philippines is expecting to open at least one more NBA Store this year, possibly one outside Manila. The first NBA Store opened in Glorietta in 2014 while the second store opened at SM Megamall late last year.
“Stay tuned, there might be an NBA Store opening up near your neighborhood pretty soon,” said NBA Philippines managing director Carlo Singson.
