Here’s the scary part: he believes that the Archers aren’t even at full strength yet. Watch out, UAAP.
BuhayBasket caught up with Big Ben before the game against archrivals Ateneo.
You guys are undefeated so far this season, but do you think you’re already playing your best basketball?
No, I don’t think we’re at our best yet as we are still not playing at the fullest of what we can do. Certain aspects of our game such as our offense still needs a lot more improvement.
How does it feel to playing again after the long wait?
I am extremely thankful and blessed to be playing again. The long wait was very difficult for me, but now that I’m playing again I’m just trying to make the most out of it, working hard but also enjoying the game.
You’re going up against Ateneo today, what are your thoughts going into the game? How do you feel about the rivalry?
I think that the team we’re gonna be facing is a better one compared to the one we played against last summer, so I am looking forward to the game. I’m pretty sure that the game will be fun and exciting given that the rivalry between both of these teams is super intense. I can’t wait to experience it first hand.
What are your thoughts on Coach Aldin’s suspension?
Everyone saw what happened and given that situation, he just felt that something was wrong with how the referees were officiating so he just expressed how he felt at that time. He’s always had our back and we will try our best to return the favor and give him a win, but this has already been our mindset even without the suspension.
