Tweets of the Day: PBA Opening Day

The PBA’s 40th season was welcomed with two new expansion teams, a new arena, record-breaking attendance, and Ellen Adarna.

It was supposed to be Manny Pacquiao’s show. But LA Revilla stole the thunder from The People’s Champ, leading Kia Sorento to an 80-66 win over Blackwater Elite on PBA Opening Day. Pacquiao did not attempt a single shot, and only played seven minutes in a game that was all Kia after the halftime break.

In the second game, Ginebra finally played up to expectations and defeated Talk ‘N Text, 101-81. Who are we kidding though, PBA Opening Day is really about the muses. So hello there, Ellen Adarna, welcome to the PBA.
